Informationen

Will Varley is very pleased to announce he will be touring again this autumn across Europe at some very special venues in some of his favourite countries.

Varley celebrated the release of his 5th studio album, "Spirit of Minnie", with a packed out show at London’s own Shepherd’s Bush Empire in February. He then spent the first part of this year playing his new album live around the world; touring extensively in the US, appearing at SXSW festival in Texas and selling out venues across the UK and Europe.

Described recently by Donovan as “The next generation” and counting the likes of Billy Bragg, Tim Minchin and Frank Turner amongst his fans, it seems the rambling songwriter who cut his teeth haunting the open mics of South London is finally getting the attention he deserves. Don’t miss him across Europe this autumn.

Recent press quotes:

“His strongest work to date...evoking the likes of Bright Eyes, Springsteen and Dylan effortlessly.” Clash

“While he may have produced his darkest album to date... it’s also arguably his strongest” Folk Radio UK

“At his lyrical best” The Times

SUPPORT:

 Plàsi (SWE)

With stripped productions and meaningful words, the Swedish-Greek singer-songwriter creates an intimate act that stays close to the audience. Since he released his first single in 2016, his music has spread internationally on the different streaming channels and earlier this year his debut album “People” got out. His deep lyrics about humanity mixed with more personal stories are often surrounded by melancholic atmospheres and calming harmonies.

Plàsi, originally Mikael Bitzarakis, was born on the island of Crete but mainly raised in Sweden with his mother where he moved by the age of four. After attending the music school Rytmus, he continued with studies in Stockholm, Milan, and Vienna where his songwriting ignited. His stage name is the Ancient Greek word for creation (πλάση), and two main sources of inspiration are Passenger and José González.
